Sewer Rates

No Change in La Mesa Sewer Rates Announced for Next Fiscal Year
On May 26, 2009, the City Council decided that La Mesa sewer rates would not change for the next fiscal year (from July 1, 2009 to June 30, 2010.)

Although sewer rates are not changing, that does not mean that customer sewer bills will not change. Sewer bills are based on an average of the previous 5 years' winter water usage. The average is recalculated every July 1st and multiplied by the sewer rate to determine a customer's bill. If your winter water average changes, your sewer bill will also change.

Sewer Billing Services
For questions regarding your sewer bill, please call our customer service representative at 619.667.1126.

To set up a sewer account, simply start your water service with Helix Water District and your sewer account will automatically be activated.

To Make a Payment 
There are a variety of ways to pay your sewer bill. You may:
·        Mail your payment
·        Sign up for AutoPay, which automatically debits your checking account
·        Use one of the drop boxes located at the entrances to City Hall and on Date Ave
·        Pay at the Finance Counter in City Hall
