Assists in conducting recreational activities in connection with the programs of an aquatic facility; observes and supervises the activities of patrons in the pool and surrounding area; prepares lesson plans and instructs students in swimming and water safety activities; protects life, prevents accidents and enforces pool regulations; rescues swimmers in emergency situations; and assists in the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
